I am trying to sell some stuff to help save money. I am currently 30 weeks pregnant with a little girl. Our little girl has some things wrong with her heart. She has Transposition of the Greater Arteries, a Ventricular Septal Defect (a hole), and Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Here are some links to help you understand what those all mean...

Because of these she will need open heart surgery. Luckily we a military so all of our medical bills will be paid for. But we will still need extra money for gas, hotel, and food. She should be in the hospital for 4-5 weeks. Her first open heart surgery will happen soone after birth (within a week), her second will happen around 4-6 months old, and her third will happen around 3-5 years. The hospital that this will all happen at is about an hour to an hour and a half away from us. Because of the economy and gas prices right now we don't have any extra money for these things. I know times are tough on everyone right now.

We are lucky enough to have my mom coming to stay with us until our little girl gets out of the hospital. She will help us out with our other kids (7 & almost 2 when baby is born), take care of the house, etc.

So to help us save money I am trying to make some things to sell. These are some things I make....

Custom Letters
Crochet - Beanies, Booties, Baby Sweaters, 'Loveys', etc.

Taryn turns one!

So obviously I haven't been on in FOREVER!! But I'll try to update everything.

So for my first post...Taryn's Birthday : )

Our sweet little girl turned one on March 23rd : )

We went down to Arizona for a wedding and for her birthday. We all had a great time! She took her VERY first step on her first birthday (which was also Easter this year). So here are some picures and videos of her birthday party.

Here's the video of her very first step....and it was sooo stable!

Update

It has been quite a while since I have posted anything!!! Lets see Taryn pulls up on the furiture and pretty much anything else. She then walks along the furniture. She claps, points, and waves. She will point at you and wait for you to touch her finger with yours. She climbs one everything she can, people, toys, the stairs!!! We really have to watch her. She also just got her top two teeth a few weeks ago, she can REALLY bite her food now.

Here I was trying to get a picture of her teeth and she was being silly!!!

Taryn will soon be 1...I can't believe it has almost been a year. We will be going to Arizona for Taryn's birthday and for Nicole & JB's wedding. I have started making Taryn's birthday invites and I think all I need to do is print them and send them out!!! Here is a sample, minus the address & phone number.....
Her birthday is on EASTER this year :). Clay & I are both doing good. We just had our 2nd Anniversary (February 10th). We went out to the Olive Garden for dinner the night before with Taryn. We all had fun!

The last new thing was, Clay & I were expecting our next little one, but we lost it on February 2nd. We had found out about it on January 23rd (Taryn's 10 month birthday). We were very excited about it! We had been trying. We are healing right now and doing pretty good.

But that is pretty much our life right now....sorry for taking SO long to post anything new!!!!

Taryn's new 'Lovey'

I made Taryn a new 'lovey' last night. I'm going to make her a few back-up ones incase she happens to lose it in the years to come. She loves it so far and loves to chew/suck on the ears.

A Few More...

Here are a few more pictures of Taryn and her Christmas presents....

This one is from today (1/8/08) Playing with her toys from Grandma Elaine

Christmas Day!

Today we had a laid back day also. We has Santa this morning. Taryn seems to be feeling better. Her fever was 101.6 this morning but after I gave her medicine it went down to 99.1!! She doesn't feel like she's burning up anymore. Here are some pictures of her today.

And now these next ones... I am VERY proud of this. I crocheted a little black puppy dog for my Grandpa for Christmas. I used the pink dog as a 'pattern' sort of. This puppy is to commemorate my grandparents old dog named Brandy. So here are a few pictures of it and then a few of Taryn and 'Brandy.'

Christmas Eve!

Well lets see. Last night (12/23/07) we were at Babies 'R' Us and Taryn felt a little 'hot.' So when we got home we took her temperature. It was 100.3, so we gave her some Tylenol and put her to bed. This morning (12/24/07) she still had a fever of 101, so we gave her some more medicine. She was already super tired so she took a nice long nap. When she woke up from her nap her temperature was 101.4, so once again we gave her medicine. Finally her fever started coming down some :)...at around 6 pm it was 99.9, then at 7 pm it was 99.4. But of course right before bed it had spiked back up to 101.4. So for the last time today we gave her more medicine and put her to bed. She seems to be fine though. She's just as happy and playing.

Now for the rest of the day. We had a pretty relaxing day. Sat around, played, just had a fun day. At about 4 pm we opened presents. Taryn got lots of things that she loves!!

Taryn got some books, a cell phone, some stuffed animals, and a bead maze thing. It was a great Christmas Eve. We had a chicken and stuffing for dinner. Now Santa will be here tomorrow :)
